Google's Nexus 6 smartphone is the center of another round of complaints, this time because some users have noticed the back panel of their device popping out. Some discovered that it is due to the battery expanding.

Phandroid picked up numerous complaints posted by users on Reddit, Twitter and other social media platforms focused on the concern that the rear part of their new Nexus 6 is getting pushed up because of a bloated battery. The complaints came from users in United States, Canada and United Kingdom.

Reddit user npjohnson1 posted, "PLEASE be careful. Check under the back cover, my Nexus 6 had something similar happen, except, upon further inspection... THE BATTERY HAD EXPANDED, and was pushing the back cover off. They ended up letting me keep the nexus and get a new one for free, they even threw in the SUPCASE for the N6 for free..We removed the battery on the old one for safety."

Manufacturer Motorola already acknowledged the problem and is willing to replace the affected devices with a brand new model.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Nexus 6 had to deal with a problem. Since its release in October, a number of consumers took their frustrations out in forums and social media regarding the different bugs and issues found in the device. Motorola found software bugs causing blacked out screens as well as problems connecting to Internet networks. Moreover, the Google Nexus 6 reportedly has letters peeling off the back of the smartphone, not to mention the myriad of issues present in the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, which happens to be the Nexus 6's operating system. These problems undoubtedly affected the overall sales of the handset.

The Google Nexus 6 is available at the Google Play Store for $649 and $699 for the 32 GB and 64 GB, respectively. It comes with the following specs and features:
