Nexus 5, predecessor of the rumored Nexus 6 smartphone.

The Google Nexus 6 release date may come pretty soon as the handset is said to have been spotted in real life.

Android Police published a string of photos of the alleged Google Nexus 6 from an anonymous source. According to the report, the Nexus 6 smartphone was seen being used by a commuter on a bus.

The report added that the photo is a real-life representation of the rumored specs and features. The identity of the person wielding the device is unknown. The report said that the user seemed to be able to navigate smoothly despite its massive size. Google Nexus 6, it has been speculated, has a 5.9-inch screen display. Moreover, the design is very similar to the recently released Moto X.

The photos show that the device is running with the latest Android operating system or Android L OS. The new mobile software is expected to be announced either this month or next month, and the next generation Nexus smartphone will be the first device to run with the new OS.

Rumors say that the handset will pack a larger screen panel of 5.9 inches with 2K display or 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. There were speculations that the handset will be Google's entry to the phablet category. The handset will follow the lead of its competitors and will include a fingerprint sensor in its smartphone.

The handset will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 805 CPU and an Adreno 420 GPU to support high res images and videos. The smartphone will also include a pair of stereo speakers in front, a 13MP rear camera, and a 2.1MP front-facing camera.

The Google Nexus 6 release date is still unconfirmed and a lot of dates are emerging as the supposed launch date of the smartphone that has been confusing a lot of buyers. Latest reports state that the Nexus 6 will arrive on Oct. 16.
