Both the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL are the very first smartphone products that were conceptualized and created by Mountain View, CA-based tech giant. These devices aim to compete against the current line-up of flagship smartphones, particularly Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

But can Google's two newest smartphone lines prove that they can be at par or even surpass the features of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus?

Based on the sizes of the four devices, the Google Pixel XL and the iPhone 7 Plus both have a 5.5-inch display screen. On the other hand, the Pixel will have a bigger screen compared to the iPhone 7 since the Google smartphone will come with a 5-inch screen upon release while the seventh-generation iPhone will only have a 4.7-inch screen.

In terms of the chipsets, both Google smartphones will come with the powerful Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821, while the new smartphones from the Cupertino-based tech giant feature the company's latest Apple A10 Fusion chipset. All four devices also feature a quad-core processor, but the Google devices will feature Adreno 530 GPUs while the Apple smartphones come with a six-core graphics card.

All the devices have two built-in memory options of 32 GB and 128 GB capacities, but the devices from Google will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM while the Apple devices only have 2 GB of RAM. However, all devices will have no option for expansion.

In terms of the camera, all four devices have 12-megapixel primary shooters. Although, the secondary camera of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus only has 7-megapixels while the secondary shooter of the Google smartphones are 8-megapixels.

At the moment, only the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are available in the market, but Google is expected to release the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL sometime this October.
