Though it is already expected that the new Google flagships will debut on Oct. 4, Google is still keeping the Pixel and Pixel XL under wraps. However, supposed press images of the new flagships have surfaced online, showing a first-look on the new iterations prior to the launch.

VentureBeat has managed to showcase what it claimed is a confirmed image of the base model Google Pixel. With the press image already out, its showcase supposedly confirms previous rumors about the design and some of the specs of the device. The image reveals that the base model is designed similar to the supposed leaked renders of the HTC Sailfish. This means that it has a 5.0-inch display and the front camera mounted on the left upper side of the front panel. With no physical home button, it is expected that the fingerprint scanner will be on the back.

The supposed specs for the Google Pixel, which may be confirmed during its launch, include a step-up Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, and a 12-MP/5-MP main and front camera setups. There is also a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The Google Pixel will run on a 2,770 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the rumors suggest that instead of doing away with the standard, the new Pixel will still feature a top-mounted 3.5 mm audio jack. This is interesting to note, as recent flagship releases like the iPhone 7 have ditched the standard headphone jack.

Aside from the base model, a supposed press image of its larger variant, the Pixel XL, also surfaced online, via perennial tipster Evan Blass. The larger version will reportedly have the same specs and features as the base model, as well as the same design (as shown in the image). However, the Pixel XL will have a 5.5-inch, QHD screen, as well as a larger 3,450 mAh battery.
