GoPro Hero 5 left consumers hanging as producers kept delaying the product's release. It was expected to be released in October 2015 and as that didn't happen it was then expected to be launched around the first half of 2016. According in an article of Bikeradar, it will possibly arrive in October 2016. Now reports have said that it will be likely that the much anticipated Hero 5 will be bundled with GoPro Karma Drone.

GoPro Ceo Nick Woodman addressed one of the reasons behind its impeding development and release of GoPro Hero 5. It is connected to the "dramatic drop" of camera's stock value, according to Christian Times.

"Our growth rate has slowed, and some analysts have attributed this to competitive threats and our ability to address a market beyond our core customer," he said. He added that technological prowess is accelerating and it has been hard to keep up.

Woodman stated in an interview that before the year ends, they will release three new devices although he did not mention name of the said products and when will they be released. He said to Engadget: "Future GoPro's will be increasingly simpler, with fewer parts. Our goal is to make it very easy for our customers to make the decision to pick up a GoPro and use it. That's all about simplicity, efficiency, and making the user experience as seamless and invisible as possible."

GoPro Hero 5 is expected to have a two hour battery life which enable customers to film longer, sporting a maximum 8K resolution. Consumers can also reportedly use it under waters to a depth of 60m that could cater to divers and underwater filmmakers.

GoPro 5 is said to be the lightest GoPro ever made and it will also connect to cloud easily. GoPro Hero 5 price range could be somewhere around $450- 550 according to a report of Bikeradar.
