The latest viral video sensation is sweeping America in time for Thanksgiving, but it's come from an unusal source – pastor and gospel legend Shirley Caesar.

An old video of her on stage resurfaced, was remixed and turned into a video.

It lists a number of foods which feature in a Thanksgiving meal including "beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes" and a whole lot more.

The trend has caught on with people across America recording their own versions while dancing along to the remixed track. The sensation even has its own name – the #UNameIt challenge.

Caesar says she's shocked by how popular her words have become. "I was excited. I'm just grateful that I've been chosen, that the Lord is blessing me like this," the 79-year-old told AP. "This is a mind-boggling thing for me. Who would have thought that something like that would have gone viral?"

Caesar, who's released around 40 albums in her career, said she hadn't realised about the success of the clip until being told by a church friend. "I was out in the middle of the ocean, and one of the members from our church showed it to me... Oh Lord... I was so shocked to see that and see them dancing and boogeying," she said.
