|PIC1|Gospel Superfest, one of the biggest annual gospel music events nationwide, will be headed back to New York's Christian Cultural Centre this Fall for the third consecutive year, according to the show's executive producer Dr. Bobby Cartwright Jr.

The program, known for its dazzling musical performances from artists such as Karen Clark Sheard, Hezekiah Walker, Mary Mary, Tonex, and American Idol Ruben Studdard to name a few, will take a slightly different direction this year, featuring a "smorgasbord of music, dance, comedy, and everything in between," according to a news release.

"Attendees will experience Gospel meets Broadway," said Dr. Cartwright. "Gospel Superfest will have an entertainment feel, but it is ministry, and it is God's word through song."

Gospel Superfest 8 "Live New York" will be held on Oct. 27 and 28 with tickets to go on sale nationally at all Ticketmaster Outlets beginning June 15. The program, whose syndicated broadcast is expected to reach 95 percent of all U.S. television households this time around, is expected to be shown on an estimated 250 TV stations nationwide.
