Jim Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie, is in a really tight spot now. After last week's episode, all eyes are on Gordon and someone definitely won't stop until he's dead.

In episode 6, the Major Crimes Unit was about to arrest Gordon for the murder of Oswald Cobblepot. However, Penguin showed up in the station during the arrest. Also, the Gotham gangsters as well as the police know about Gordon's lies and he might just face the consequences of his actions in the next episode.

The official synopsis reads: "As violence between Maroni (guest star David Zayas) and Falcone continues to escalate, Penguin reveals a new element of his manipulative strategy, forcing Gordon to deal with the consequences of his decision to spare Penguin's life in the all-new 'Penguin's Umbrella' episode."

Maroni and Falcone are still at it and the war between the two doesn't look like it's going to be over soon. Meanwhile, Fish Mooney is focusing on a target of her own: the Penguin. Fish wants Penguin dead, it's clear as day, but will Penguin's manipulative strategy be able to work to save his life?

Apparently, Penguin is working for Maroni. And Fish wants her hands on the Penguin not just for the sake of killing him, but it's to get information from him.

"He knows things!" Jada Pinkett Smith said in the promo.

However, Fish also has another agenda in mind. Aside from taking down Penguin, she also wants Gordon to suffer for what he did. In the promo, Fish says Gordon has to "deal with the consequences of his decision to spare Penguin's life."

Furthermore, there's Falcone saying that he will send "Victor" to take care of Gordon. Then the scene cuts to Gordon in the police headquarters, holding a huge gun and then someone shoots at him and he shoots back.

How can Gordon redeem himself after all this mess? He might just need to kill Penguin himself to get the respect of the Gotham City Police Department back, says IBT.
