Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is furious that the court allowed Theo Galavan (James Frain) to get away in the upcoming episode of the FOX series "Gotham."

In "The Son of Gotham," the official promo shows the scene in the courtroom wherein Theo's sentence is revealed. The judge is allowing him to be released, even after the incriminating evidences that point out that he is responsible for kidnapping and killing the other candidates for mayoralty of the city. Gordon cannot believe the villain is walking away without paying for his crimes. The clip shows him running towards Theo and punching him in the face. Gordon also shouts that he will not let Theo get way with all that he has done.

Last episode, Theo's brotherhood finally reached Gotham and with their arrival, chaos is sure to ensue. All plans to take over the city and kill Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) are put in motion. Gordon and Capt. Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) will have their work cut for them trying to protect the citizens and Bruce. Will they be able to stop Theo? The final moments of the teaser shows Gordon at Theo's mercy, however, as it appears that the latter succeeded in trapping the detective.

Although Theo must be feeling good that his cronies have come, Tabitha's (Jessica Lucas) action last episode may have pissed him off. It looks like there is a sibling rivalry brewing between the two, as Tabitha has intentionally disregarded Theo's command. He told her not to do anything while he was still in prison, but she still went ahead and sent assassins to kill Gordon. Tabitha was angry at the detective for what happened to Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), who was still in the hospital due to her injuries.

Meanwhile, Comicbook reports that Bruce is getting closer in his quest to learn the identity of his parents' murderer. Previously, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) went to see the young Wayne to tell what she has learned about Silver St. Cloud (Natalie Alyn Lind). She told him that the woman was not who she was pretending to be and she has evidence to prove it. Will Selina's information help Bruce unlock the mystery that has been plaguing him his entire life?

"Gotham" season 2 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
