Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) is in charge of the high profile case involving the escape of Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) and other inmates from the Arkham Asylum in the upcoming episode of "Gotham."

In "Knock, Knock," Comicbook Movie reports that after being reinstated in his position in the Gotham City Police District (GCPD), Gordon has the difficult task of tracking down and apprehending the lunatics who escaped from the madhouse. This includes the man who will one day call himself The Joker, Gordon's ex girlfriend Barbara (Erin Richards), Richard Sionis (Todd Stashwick) and three others.

It turned out that the new villain in town, Theo Galavan (James Frain), saw the potential of the six escapees and wanted them to join him in spreading chaos in the city. Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas), however, killed Sionis after he told them he did not want to be part of the team. Now that the bad guys have been united, Galavan is reportedly planning his next move. Will Gordon and the GCPD be able to keep the citizens safe?

Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) will ask the help of his father's old friend on how to unlock the secrets in his office. He and Alfred (Sean Pertwee) have discovered a secret passageway behind the fireplace in his father's study last episode. When they went down a staircase, they found a door with a keypad. Unfortunately, they could not open it, as they did not have the code.

When Bruce decided to break through the door with explosives, he found a note from his father. It stated that if Bruce had to choose between happiness and the truth, he should go for the former. But if ever he felt a greater calling, then he should reconsider. Does this mean viewers would now get to see the start of the young "Batman" and his iconic journey?

"Gotham" season 2 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
