Jerome Valeska (Cameron Monaghan) will be one of the villains that Dr. Hugo Strange (B.D. Wong) will bring back to life when the hit FOX series "Gotham" returns for season 2B.

Ben McKenzie, who plays Detective Jim Gordon, basically confirmed the spoiler during the Q&A portion in the Wizarding World New Orleans. According to Comicbook.com, the actor answered the queries of the fans regarding the fate of the character many have tagged as Joker. The last time viewers saw Jerome, he was stabbed in the neck by Theo Galavan (James Frain) to fool young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). Theo wanted the boy to see him as the savior and earn his trust for his evil plans to work.

Jerome was just one of the people that Theo had no trouble sacrificing to get what he wanted. There was just no way for him to have survived, considering the extent of his injury. So how exactly will Jerome be resurrected in the second half of the season? It appears that Dr. Strange, the brilliant but deranged warden of Arkham Asylum, will be his redeemer. Wong's character will reportedly conduct inhuman experiments on people with interesting abilities. He is the man behind India Hill, the underground Wayne Enterprises black-ops program.

During the midseason season finale, viewers witnessed that most of the dead villains including Jerome, Theo, and Barbara (Erin Richards) were sent to a mysterious laboratory. It turned out to be Strange's sanctum sanctorum. If Jerome will come back from the dead, does it mean all the other bad guys who perished in the past episodes will also make a comeback? McKenzie gave a clear answer during the panel interview.

"Not only can we but we might. I can't say definitively but yes. I'll put it this way: almost nobody that you've seen go away is dead. They are all able to come back," he said.

"Gotham" season 2 will return on Feb. 29 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
