The season finale for Gotham has left fans wanting for more. Luckily, it has already been confirmed by Fox that Season Two is on the works.

The crime drama featuring the story of James Gordon and Bruce Wayne's pre-Batman days has performed well during its premiere, hitting an average of six to seven million viewers for each episode.

Originally, Season One was scheduled to only have 16 episodes, but because fans have embraced the show so much, Fox extended the episodes to 22.

Season one was already packed with villains and it seems that it is not enough that Fox had to introduce more characters to irk Gordon.

E!Online has revealed that more villains come in for Season Two. For starters, the not-too-smart comic book character Amygdala is set to join the show and according to the report, Fox is looking to cast a 30-year old man for the role--one who needs to be big and muscular.

Other interesting things to look forward to in the show is Penguin's rise to power, Nygma's journey to the dark side as The Riddler and the fate of Fish Mooney.

According to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Pinkett-Smith said that she won't be returning as a regular for Season Two.

When asked if her character Fish is really dead, she replied "that's for the fans to determine." "Who knows? It was an interesting ending."

As for Joker fans, the epic villain was already introduced in Season One and fans cannot wait to learn more about his story and what actor Cameron Monaghan has to bring to the table.

According to show producer Bruno Heller in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, the next season will give more focus on how Joker became the villain that everybody loves to hate.

"We're going to tell the story of how the Joker came to be," said Heller. "That's teaser enough, I think," he added.
