Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) will face more villains in "Gotham" season 3, according to the show's executive producer.

During FOX's Television Critics Association after party, executive producer John Stephens talked to IGN to discuss the next roster of rogues who will attempt to wreck Gotham City in the third season of the superhero police procedural crime drama.

One of the upcoming villains is the older version of Ivy Pepper/Poison Ivy, who will now be portrayed by Maggie Geha in season 3. Stevens explained how the character suddenly aged after season 2.

According to Stevens, Poison Ivy instantly aged after she was touched by one of the Indian Hill fugitives who has the powers of taking away years of one's life with just one touch.

"So he touches Ivy early on but he didn't hold onto her for very long so he does a little bit of aging [to her]," the executive producer also said. "So for us we really wanted to play with the idea of transformation. Version one of the character, version two. And so much of Ivy of the canon that we wanted to play, we had to make her a little older."

Stevens also teased Solomon Grundy's appearance in the latter part of the upcoming season. The executive producer finally ruled out the theory that Grundy is one of the deceased characters who will be brought back to life for another chance of tormenting the city.

"When Solomon Grundy comes on, he will be a character we have not yet met," he stated.

Stevens remains secretive about who will portray the role of the Killer Croc, but he revealed that the character will be introduced at the beginning of the season.

FOX will air the premiere episode of "Gotham" season 3 on Sept. 19.
