In the next episode of "Gotham," newly-appointed Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) comes face-to-face with Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a. Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor).

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Things That Go Boom" was released just recently and showed Gordon face off with Penguin in their meeting at an undisclosed location. "I will have the GCPD [Gotham City Police Department] tear you apart," Gordon tells the criminal mastermind with conviction. Apparently, the commissioner wants to broker a deal with the Penguin regarding Sofia Falcone (Crystal Reed). She was the one who bribed the mayor of Gotham to promote Gordon to become the police commissioner. Penguin suspected Falcone to be behind this which he did not want because he and Gordon did not see eye to eye. He also suspected that Falcone was out to get him by maneuvering top officials who could all undermine him.

Meanwhile, it seems that Penguin has a lot more on his plate as he and his thugs have to deal with The Riddler a.k.a. Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) and his cohorts. "You wanted a war? You got one!" he yells at Riddler, Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas), Selena Kyle (Camren Bicondova), and Solomon Grundy (Butch Gilzean). They all meet under the bridge where rows of vehicles explode into flames as everyone watches in terror. It remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in their battle.

In the last episode, Gordon went up against the villainous Professor Pyg (Michael Cerveris) at a fundraising dinner hosted by Falcone. The commissioner fought with Pyg with his bare hands as the formidable enemy attacked with chopping knives. In the end, Gordon was able to knock out the wily villain and bring him to justice.

"Gotham" season 4 episode 10 will air on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
