'Grace and Frankie' season 2 premiere date in June, Season 3 to start production soon

The comedy series "Grace and Frankie" will begin streaming episodes by June 1, 2016. After Netflix gave a go signal to put up a season two for the television show, production went right into work. Reports are coming in that shooting of the second season has been completed, and that production for the third season will start very soon.

"We've already finished our second season and we began to take on more issues that would relate to older people and how discounted they might be." said Tomlin in an interview with Deadline. "Now we've got the challenge of the third season, which is going to start (filming) in a month or two."

According to Mail Online, the second season of Grace and Frankie begins streaming June 1, 2016 on Netflix. The series tells the story of two wives of successful San Diego divorce lawyers, who fall in love with each other and leave their wives. Grace Hanson, a cosmetics guru, and Frankie Bergstein, a hippie art teacher, who initially disliked each other's company are now forced to help each other through the pain of heartbreak and betrayal.

Grace is played by Jane Fonda, while Lily Tomlin portrays Frankie.

"Grace and Frankie" received mixed reviews from the general public. Rotten Tomatoes gives the show a score of 55 percent based on 38 reviews, and Metacritic gave the show a score of 58 percent based on 27 critic reviews, while receiving a user score of 8.1 out of 10 based on 100 Metacritic user ratings.

In other related news, "Grace and Frankie" star Tomlin has received two Globe nominations this year. One is for her role as Frankie in the series, and the other is for her work in indie film "Grandma," a film about a poet who takes her granddaughter across the city in search for money needed to perform an abortion.
