'Graceland' season 3: Mike Warren dead or alive?

"Graceland" season 2 ended with a cliffhanger; Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) was running with a bullet wound, hoping that Paige (Serinda Swan) would help him but instead she betrayed him and ratted him out to Sid (Carmine Giovinazzo). The finale ended with Sid cutting off Mike's air supply at the hospital.

Fans have speculated that Mike might finally bite the dust in season 3 but the recently released poster shows Mike front and center, spoiling the fact that he will stay around for a little while longer. This is further reinforced in an Entertainment Weekly interview with series executive producer Jeff Eastin who confirmed that the character isn't exactly dead yet.

"Can I tell them to see the poster?" Eastin responded with a laugh when asked if Mike Warren really was dead. "I can just say that Mike's not done with the show, but I hope what we're doing with him is fairly unique. Ultimately, at the end of the year, it'll be a big surprise to everyone."

Eastin's statements make it sound like Mike will survive Sid's initial attack but still keeps the doors open for the character to bid farewell before the season is over. Eastin explained in the interview that Sid will take down the rest of the residents of Graceland since he knows all their identities and secrets, making him one of the most ruthless villains in the show.

Season 3 will introduce a new, brutal villain with Armenian gangster Ari Adamian (Rhys Coiro) and this villain might be responsible for Mike's imminent death.

Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) is also on the loose and also poses as a threat. Eastin stated that no one in Graceland trusts Briggs now, particularly after his past as Odin Rossi has been exposed. However, the producer also pointed out that Briggs is very good in manipulating people in order to convince them to help him. This may yet again occur in season 3.

"Graceland" season 3 premieres this June 25 2015.
