'Gran Turismo Sport' updates: Patch 1.10 brings the GT League to the GT Sport

With Christmas day just around the corner, video game company Polyphony Digital gave gamers a major holiday treat. Patch 1.10 for the racing video game "Gran Turismo Sport" is now out and it brings a new mode and a bunch of new cars.

The new update went live on Dec. 22 and a new single-player mode is added. Players can now engage in the GT League and take on a variety of challenge races adapted from previous "Gran Turismo" video game installments.

Several race campaigns like Sunday Cup, FF Challenge, FR Challenge, Clio Cup, and Mazda Roadsters Cup are now available. The GT League is divided into four levels according to the level of the driver. Players can start from the Beginner League, Amateur League, Professional League, and all the way to the Endurance League.

A total of 12 cars were also added. New cars joining the roster are Nissan Skyline GT-R V (R34) (N300), Nissan Skyline GT-R V (R32) (N300), Ford F-150 SVT Raptor (N400), Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) (N300), Ferrari F40 (N400), Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (N700), KTM X-Bow R (N300), Suzuki Swift Sport (N100), Lamborghini Countach LP400(N400), Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevy Nova (N700), Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) (N300), and the Volkswagen Samba Bus Type 2 (T1) (N100).

New photo spots are also now available to promote the holiday season. The Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa + Miyabi racetrack is also now available. The update also brings the anticipated Lewis Hamilton Reference Laps #1 - Nurburgring.

Other feature settings were also added to the lobby, controller function, sound, buttons assignment, and more.

According to Polyphony Digital, the patch also "fixes minor issues and increases stability." The video game company has not revealed any more updates on the horizon for the coming year.

"Gran Turismo Sport" received a 7.5 out of 10 score from IGN, and 8 out of 10 from GameSpot.
