The rumor mill is getting revved up again for "Grand Theft Auto 5," and the latest chatter suggests that more downloadable content (DLC) could be released for the game just in time for the holidays.

Rumors about the supposed DLC being released for "Grand Theft Auto 5" are coming from a pair of noted tipsters, according to iDigital Times.

The tipsters in question are "Grand Theft Auto 5" players who go by the names of "FunMW2" and "LondonTown2004."

First off, according to the findings of "LondonTown2004," there will reportedly be two distinct DLC packs coming to the game. The first will be Lowriders 2, the sequel to an earlier content drop that Rockstar Games launched for the game previously. The second DLC pack will be seasonal, as it is expected to be filled with Christmas-themed goodies.

The tipster also suggested that both DLC packs may be released alongside each other.

"FunMW2" has also suggested that "LondonTown2004" may be correct in suggesting that the Christmas-themed pack may have an expiration date, specifically around Jan. 4 next year.

As for when "Grand Theft Auto 5" players might actually be able to expect these new items to arrive, yet another tipster, "MrBossFTW," suggested that a release window from Dec. 18 to Dec. 20 would be reasonable.

In related news, a new update has just been released for the last-generation ports of "Grand Theft Auto 5," according to Express UK.

Before players get too excited, the new update is not actually adding any form of content, and is instead simply fixing some bugs inside the game. The new update released for the last-generation versions of the game is also expected to curb some issues that have been exploited by players, basically allowing them to cheat inside "Grand Theft Auto 5."

The new update is not being widely embraced, however, as some players have still reported incidents of hacking, while some have complained about struggling with the game's online component.
