The widely popular sand-box open-world video game by Rockstar, "Grand Theft Auto," will not be arriving any time soon to the dismay of its legions of players and fans. However, video game websites have been making numerous speculations as to what can be expected in the upcoming triple-A title. Examples of which are enhanced combat mechanics as well as a female protagonist.

In a report by Gaming Bolt, much is left to be desired in the hand-to-hand combat mechanics of "Grand Theft Auto V." The game itself has been given high praises overall, which is probably why not many have complained about the lackluster mechanics of fist fighting in the game. The article has even gone so far to say that the melee combat of "Grand Theft Auto V" has been outdated, being similar to previous releases since "Grand Theft Auto 3."

Having that said, if Rockstar paid attention to the hand-to-hand combat mechanics, it could improve the overall gameplay experience for players. They have already improved well with regards to the shooter mechanics and tactile cover to avoid open gunfire, which could possibly be improved further in the next instalment. An example of great melee combat mechanics are titles such as "Sleeping Dogs" and "Batman Arkham Asylum."

Another popular suggestion by the gaming community is for the next protagonist to be a strong female. "Grand Theft Auto" has been known for its prominent male protagonists, much so in "Grand Theft Auto V," wherein players get to control three unique characters at different points in the game. According to Inquisitr, a female protagonist could be the singular element that would make the very familiar and popular game fresh once again for its fans.

Despite multiple delays, fans have not been rushing the studio to release their next instalment. However, they have been voicing out their strong opinions on their desire for there to be a female protagonist for "Grand Theft Auto 6." As of now, Rockstar has yet to release any details about the game, and fans will just have to wait if they will be getting their wish. It is speculated that the game will not be released before 2020.
