The Green Bay Packers and the Washington Redskins will face off on Sunday in the last of the NFL Playoffs 2016 Wild Card games. This NFC Wild Card Game has a scheduled start time of 4.40 p.m. ET and takes place from FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland. These two teams were seemingly going in very different directions towards the end of the regular season, with the Redskins surging with some excellent form, where as the Packers completely lost their good form from earlier in the season.

Washington will be hoping to continue to ride their form into the postseason, however, the Packers will be desperate to clear their heads from their late season losses and get back to their best today.

Much of the late season form for both teams centered around their quarterbacks, with Aaron Rodgers looking out of sorts for the struggling Packers, where as Kirk Cousins looked like an All-Pro star, providing his team with a consistent platform to build solid wins.

Green Bay will be looking to avoid losing three straight games twice in the same season for the first time in 7 years today, however, the Redskins have been phenomenal in their form at FedEx Field in recent times. Although statisticians will be quick to point out that Washington has not won a postseason game for 10 years coming into today's game.

The Packers will want to recapture their early season form where they surged to six straight wins to open up the season. However, they went on to lose six of their last 10 games, and look quite vulnerable in numerous areas of the game coming into the postseason.

Green Bay already blew the chance to claim a fifth straight NFC North title last week when they lost 20-13 to the Minnesota Vikings, and some critics are predicting, with the form the Redskins are in, that the Packers' postseason will be a short-lived affair.

Coach Mike McCarthy said, "I think it helps everybody, but you have to be realistic with fresh starts. I think you have to have fresh starts for the right reasons. The things that we've done wrong are just as important as the things we've done right. It's what we need to focus on because when you win, you can't just sweep the things you didn't do right until the rug."

Rodgers was sacked five times last weekend, and completed 28 of 44 throws for 291 yards with one touchdown and one interception. The quarterback has not thrown for more than two scores in a career high eight straight games coming into this clash with the Redskins.

McCarthy said, "I think you have to remember, (Rodgers is) a great player. He wants the ball in his hands and when things break down he's going to make things happen. But also the risk and exposure he's put to is unacceptable to myself. And he knows that."

For Washington meanwhile, Cousins led the entire league since week 7 for completion rate, with an extraordinary 72.4 percent, and a passer rating of 119.1. He recorded 23 touchdown passes and only three interceptions during that period, and has thrown 11 touchdowns without a pick in his last three games alone

Washington have also won six of their last seven home games, and they will be in confident mood coming into today's game against the Packers.
