Her official website displays somewhat saucy pictures, but the parents of 16-year-old Courtney Stodden say she’s just a “good Christian girl”.

Courtney has just married Doug Hutchison, the 51-year-old actor best known for his role as a prison guard in The Green Mile.

They married last month at the Chapel Of The Flowers in Las Vegas at a service officiated by the Rev Douglas Gilbert.

Courtney is aspiring to be a pop star and model, although her mature looks have caused some to question whether she is really 16.

Provocative pictures of the former beauty queen in swimwear and wrapped in an American flag have been posted to her official website but her parents have nothing but good things to say about their daughter and her marriage.

Her father, Alex Stodden, who is four years younger than his son-in-law, is surprisingly happy about his daughter’s union with Hutchison.

He told Radaronline.com: “Every father can only pray to have such a man behind their daughter. Doug is the nicest man I’ve ever met in my life.”

He is also certain his daughter knows what she’s signed up to, saying she is “one of the most level headed girls out there”.

Courtney’s mother, Krista, is just as gushing in her praise for Hutchison.

She told the website: “We are totally supportive of this marriage. Doug is a wonderful man and we love him.

“They are very much in love and we are so supportive of this. Courtney was a virgin when she married Doug. She is a good Christian girl.”

Hutchison played prison guard Percy Wetmore in The Green Mile and has also had parts in Shaft, I am Sam and The Salton Sea.
