A batch of new photos and juicy spoilers for the premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 has just been released to give fans an idea on what's going on in Grey Sloan Memorial. For one, the doctors are back to work with a challenging new case to greet them.

There are two girls in need of medical attention in the season premiere. But as the doctors do their best to help them recover, they learn of their moving story that ultimately leads them to ponder on the damaging effects of bullying, not only in general but also in their own lives.

Season 12 will also see Meredith coming to terms with the changes in her life, starting with living under one roof with Amelia and Maggie. While this happens, Bailey challenges the character played by "Switched at Birth" star Joey Lauren Adams for the Chief of Surgery post.

Lastly, the premiere, which is given the title "Sledgehammer," will also see Jackson preparing for April's return from her Seattle trip. Fans can preview these goings-on in the set of photos picked up by TV Line

With such an intense opener, season 12 seems to have no plans on slowing down on the drama while still keeping it fresh. Majority of the promo images let fans have a good look at the cadaver lab, which wasn't featured in the previous seasons.

One image shows Andrew DeLuca making a charming impression in the hospital, particularly on Arizona. But this doesn't mean anything, apparently. While it was previously teased by series creator Shonda Rhimes that Arizona and Callie will go their separate ways and find new love interests, Andrew will have nothing to do with this.

Rhimes has emphasized in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that "Arizona obviously does not date men" and it seems that it will still be that way when "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 premieres on Sept. 24.
