'Grey's Anatomy' season 11 spoilers: Amelia attempts to save Herman's life in episode 13

Dr. Amelia Sheperd (Caterina Scorsone) will take an enormous risk in episode 13 of "Grey's Anatomy" titled "Staring at the End" and Dr. Herman's life depends on its success. The hopeful neurosurgeon believes that she can save the life of her colleague who has been battling brain tumor.

Amelia knows that it involves major intricacies of surgery but is determined to get it all right. As for Herman, she makes it a point to spend all her time on cases with Arizona before she undergoes the life-changing operation. Carter Matt says that the episode will change the direction where the long-running medical drama series is going simply because Amelia's task here is not at all easy.

Geena Davis (Dr. Herman in the series), being a guest star in the show, makes everyone fear for her character's fate in "Grey's Anatomy." It is not as unworkable to kill off characters in shows when they are not regulars so there's no way of knowing if the episode will culminate to a brain tumor-free Dr. Herman. Here is to hoping that the title of the episode means more than just a Dr. Herman following the light.

As fans ponder on the possible outcomes of Amelia's attempt to perform one of the most difficult surgical procedures there is, they will also see Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) as she takes on a case that involves a pregnant woman who is "close to her heart." Putting a finger on the woman's identity, Wetpaint claimed that the person in question is unlikely a relative of hers, taking into consideration all the still-fresh chaos that went down between her and her husband's sister, Rosalind.

"Staring at the End" was directed by Mark Jackson and was written by Stacy McKee. The episode will be aired on Feb. 26.
