Since "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 took a break almost two months ago, fans have been going crazy as to what is in store for them in the upcoming episodes when the show returns at the end of the month. With such a long wait, it is no question that viewers are expecting something big.

According to spoilers, fans need not worry because they will get what they want and then some. The assemblage of upcoming episodes is so interesting that season 11 will get back on track, regardless of Doctor Yang's permanent absence.

So, what's to come? TV Line reported a number of intriguing storylines coming up. The site revealed that in episode 15, a doctor will get into an vehicular accident but rather than despair about getting pinned down, her doctor's instincts kick in and she will reportedly instruct a girl on what to do to help her mom who's also involved in the crash. Fans have yet to discover who this doctor is though, and how she is going to be rescued.

Moreover, the upcoming episodes will deal with Dr. Yang's departure from the show, which has obviously affected multiple storylines in the series. How is the production team handling this? Showrunner Shonda Rhimes is giving the characters more challenges to face.

According to IBT, some of the challenges include Meredith having to deal with her sister being a doctor in Grey Sloan Hospital as well as Derek leaving for Seattle. Then, there is Jackson and April's baby, who was diagnosed with a deadly disease. And speaking of illnesses, Arizona's mentor was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

With all the surprises that "Grey's Anatomy" has in store for its fans, the show is on the right track. After eleven seasons, the show is still going strong especially with the viewers. In the recent People's Choice Awards 2015, the show was nominated for Favorite Network TV Drama, while Ellen Pompeo is a candidate for Favorite Actress and Patrick Dempsey for Favorite Actor.

Needless to say, fans shouldn't miss an episode when "Grey's Anatomy" returns on Jan. 29.
