'Grey's Anatomy' season 11 spoilers: Meredith opens up to Alex about Maggie's shocking revelation

TV medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" debuted its eleventh season last month on ABC, and it raked positive reviews after the first episode caught the interest of many highly anticipating fans.  The premiere episode drew more attention to the major decisions that many of the characters have to make.

In the second episode "Puzzle with a Piece Missing," Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) was trying to adapt to the environment at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

In an attempt to outdo Maggie, Dr. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) opened up to her about the troubles of Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) which involve the private practice of Dr. Oliver Lebackes and his position on the board (Patrick Fabian).

As Maggie gave up information during a surgery, Alex was dismissed from the private practice. Maggie then becomes friends with Dr. Amelia Shepherd and tells herself that there may be something good in Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo).

Meanwhile, Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) has chosen for Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) to go with the fetal surgery fellowship, and that they would share their efforts for a second child. Interestingly, Maggie opened up to Meredith that Ellis Grey (Kate Burton) is also her biological mother. Meredith, however, has a hard time believing her as she believes that she would have found out in the past if her mother had been pregnant.

Now that the secret is out, Meredith's disbelief will grow stronger in the third episode "Got to be Real" when it premieres this Thursday. A short teaser shows how Meredith will open up to Alex about Maggie's revelation. The two of them will spend their time in episode three trying to find out the truth about Maggie, and whether she is really a daughter of Ellis Grey.

Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) will be introducing Callie to the Veteran Hospital patients to help them out, whereas Jo will show more jealousy when it comes to the blooming friendship between Alex and Meredith.

The third episode from "Grey's Anatomy" season 11 will air on ABC on Thursday, Oct. 9.
