Alex (Justin Chambers) works on a case that might get his career in danger once again. Meanwhile, Camilla Luddington's boyfriend guest stars in the series.

On the next episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, titled "Leave It Inside," Alex will be handed a case that might get his career in trouble because of a conflict that arises with the patient's parents.

"April (Sarah Drew) and Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti) consult with a fiery patient who has a giant, inoperable heart tumor. Meanwhile, Alex and Eliza (Marika Dominczyk) are at odds over the treatment of a young patient," the synopsis reads.

As seen from the episode 22 promo, the patient is a young boy who has a large tumor that needs surgery. However, his parents do not believe in surgery and refer to it only as an "intervention."

But based on the father's violent reaction, it appears that Alex will be pushing for the surgery to happen, which might cause him to put his career on thin ice again.

Luddington's boyfriend, Matthew Alan, is guest starring in this episode. It turns out that Alan will be playing the boy's father that will get Alex in another problem with the hospital.

Luddington, who portrays Alex's on-screen girlfriend Jo, posted on Instagram a photo with her boyfriend in a scene captioned "Pop quiz: when your RL boyfriend gets cast on 'Grey's Anatomy.'"

Meanwhile, this might be the episode that prepares Hinton for her character's exit. In this episode of "Grey's Anatomy," Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) and Ben (Jason George) will be faced with important decisions that will have an impact on their careers.

As previously reported by TVLine, Hinton's exit has long been confirmed by showrunner Shonda Rhimes. With Stephanie doing well in Grey Sloan, it is anticipated that she will be moving to a new hospital with a better position to give way for Hinton's exit from the show.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs every Thursday night at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
