The fire at Grey Sloan might be the end of Stephanie's (Jerrika Hinton) career and life, in the season finale of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. Meanwhile, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Nathan (Martin Henderson) will face another roadblock on their budding relationship.

Previously on "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, a dangerous patient has taken Edwards hostage and caused Grey Sloan to go on shutdown. The patient then attempted to create a fire to make the hospital doors open. But he set something combustible to explode, causing himself harm and triggering a complete evacuation from the hospital.

The last that was seen of Edwards in the penultimate episode was when she was blown away by the explosion caused by the patient. From the looks of it, Stephanie might be dead.

As seen from the finale promo, doctors of Grey Sloan look for Stephanie and the little girl who is also taken hostage. In the end, it appears that their search comes to no avail as Bailey (Chandra Wilson) asks, "Has anybody seen her?"

TVLine confirms that Hinton will be exiting the show, and her character's death might be the end of her story.

Meanwhile, Meredith and Nathan will face another roadblock in their budding relationship.

Owen (Kevin McKidd) receives news that his sister Megan is alive, and will now be brought to Grey Sloan to recover from the trauma and physical injuries that she attained from war.

Meredith decides to tell Nathan herself since Owen has not yet broken the news to anyone, not even to their parents.

Given the history between Nathan and Megan Hunt, her return will surely rekindle their past, which brings whatever Nathan has with Meredith to a pause. According to the episode 24 synopsis, Nathan will have to make an important decision about his situation.

The "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 finale, titled "Ring of Fire," will air on Thursday, May 18, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
