In the winter finale episode of "Grey's Anatomy," the hospital's computer system is attacked by a hacker who plunges their operations in disarray.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Out of Nowhere" was released recently and showed the hospital lights flickering and sirens sounding in the rooms and hallways of the medical building. "What the hell is happening?" Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) says to himself in disbelief. It appears that a nefarious computer hacker has compromised the hospital's computer system causing everything to go down and making it very difficult for the doctors to do their jobs. "All of the monitors are out," exclaims Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) to the staff. Not only are the monitors out, but also the communication system and phones. Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) tries to keep things together but chaos erupts when patients start to get worried and panic.

The staff is forced to use creative ways to treat their patients in order to get them to relax. Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) is shown trying to revive a patient amid the tension and noise. The FBI is brought in to help control the situation. They are also there to investigate the system breach. "This hospital is in chaos," Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) says to his fellow doctors. All of a sudden, all the lights go out, leaving everyone in the dark.

In the last episode, the show celebrated its 300^th installment by paying homage to its past beloved characters through callbacks and flashbacks. Drs. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and George O'Malley (T.R. Knight) were hinted through their similar mannerisms in two quirky rollercoaster victims. Grey saw their similarities and was utterly surprised, and then told Hunt about them.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 14 episode 8 will air on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
