Nick and Adalind are trying to become a normal family but this proves difficult as "Grimm" season 5 goes on. The next episode of the hit supernatural series puts Nick in the middle of a deadly ancient tradition that is fueled by revenge.

The episode is titled "Maiden Quest," where a rich mobster talks three bachelors into literally killing for him with his daughter as the prize. He who dominates and manages to do everything he asks them to do gets to marry his lovely daughter.

Sadly, his tests, as seen in the "Grimm" season 5 promo, all have something to do with murder. "Bring me the head," the wealthy gangster instructs the three young men. When bodies start to drop like mosquitoes, Nick and Hank set out to stop the tradition and apprehend the culprits.

However, pursuing the people responsible puts Nick "in the crossfire," as ominously declared in the promo, where a glimpse of a weak and wounded Trubel makes an appearance. It remains to be seen how she is connected to the said ancient tradition.

It looks like Trubel is the "surprise visitor" the synopsis for the "Grimm" season 5 episode hints at. Nick and Adalind's efforts to live normal lives are challenged here and there, thanks to the nature of Nick's job and all the things he did in the past that make him a target.

In an interview with IGN, David Giuntoli and Claire Coffee gave a glimpse of what their characters' family life would look like. The former said that the baby "grounds" Nick leading him "to be good with Adalind for the time being."

Coffee said that Adalind and Nick will "bond over this baby." Everything around them being bad and everything that's happening will both make that more difficult and more important at the same time.

As for Trubel, her essayer Jacqueline Toboni promised that fans will get to know where her character has been all this time.

"Grimm" season 5 episode 4 "Maiden Quest" airs Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
