A lot has been done to Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) by the end of "Grimm" season 4, and the character is now set on taking care of his child while also getting revenge on the people that brought him to his current state of mind. A report from ShowBizJunkies indicates he will be so intent on vengeance that he'll be leaving the police force.

"I'd say they're localizing it more to what it was," Giuntoli explained in the interview. "It seems to be Portland, it seems to be Wesen. It seems to be Nick plotting revenge. I would definitely say I don't really care about being a cop anymore. I'm just like I'm doing my own Grimm thing."

Although he may be leaving the task force, this focus on vengeance may also see Nick teaming up again with Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell). Giuntoli reiterated in the interview that the Nick and Monroe partnership has been something the fans enjoyed and is partly why it is being brought back on the show.

Adalind (Claire Coffee), on the other hand, is going to go through a different phase in season 5 as she lost her powers and is now the mother of Nick's child. Nick and Adalind have been arch enemies in the show for a long time and having a child will put the two in a sticky situation.

"She's now having this other child with Nick and sticking around Portland, she's really finally is like, 'Wait, this is all I've got in the world and now I really have to make it work. I have no dungeons to distract me, no Royal family to be aligning myself with.' She is committing to making it work," the actress explained to ShowBizJunkies

Coffee also explained that Adalind won't necessarily join the heroes but her baby will be her main tie to them, ensuring that she won't be a season 5 villain or anti-hero for the time being.

"Grimm" season 5 premieres this Oct. 30.
