"Grimm" is currently on a hiatus after airing its fall finale this month, which saw the return of Bitsie Tulloch as Eve, a mysterious woman working with Hadrian's Wall who has all of Juliette's powers and memories, but none of her emotional attachments.

Also in the episode, Nick (David Giuntoli) got a taste of what's to come once the Wesen uprising starts, and the Grimm almost got killed before Eve swooped in to save him.

When the show returns, Nick, Hank (Russell Hornsby), Wu (Reggie Lee), and the rest of the gang will be preparing for the Wesen war, and series creators James Kouf and David Greenwalt told TVLine a few details about what the upcoming war will be like.

"There's a lot of complicated things… that intertwine before direct confrontation," Kouf told the website. The co-creators also gave some information about Wesen leader Lucien Petrovich, played by "Longmire" star Bailey Chase.

"He's a pure believer, but he's got a streak of deviousness in him and he can't really be trusted, even by his own people," Greenwalt said, adding that Petrovich will do anything to win the Wesen war and that he will be sacrificing his own soldiers if needed. Chase will debut in the midseason premiere and Greenwalt said that "He'll be around a bit."

Meanwhile, things are about to get cozy between Nick and Adalind (Claire Coffee) when the show returns. TVLine recently posted some stills from the upcoming episode titled "The Return." One photo shows the two sittting together on a bed while gazing at their newborn son Kelly, and another shot features Adalind leaning over a table to get closer to Nick.

It appears that Nick must have somewhat recovered from the grief that he experienced over Juliette's death, but it remains to be seen whether Eve's arrival will impact his relationship with Adalind.

"Grimm" returns on Friday, Jan. 29 at 9/8c on NBC.
