'Grimm' season 5 spoilers: Bitsie Tulloch points out differences between Juliette and Eve

"Grimm" season 5 dropped the bomb when a Juliette lookalike showed up during the final minutes of the midseason finale. As it turns out, Bitsie Tulloch remains a series regular and was only absent during the initial episodes only to surprise everyone about her comeback.

Tulloch returns not as veterinarian-turned-hexenbiest Juliette but a badass new character named Eve. "Juliette's flesh and blood, her DNA, is still alive. But this is not Juliette," the actress spelled out in an interview with TV Line.

The reason the actress emphasized this is because no trace of Juliette's characteristics really exists in Eve. All of that vanished when she was transformed into a "weapon" by the Hadrian's Wall to stop the Wesen's terrors. "Grimm" season 5 hinted that idea from the moment Eve made her entrance.

However, it is important to note that while Eve no longer has the animal-loving and touchy-feely side Juliette had, the warrior kept Juliette's hexenbiest abilities. But Eve has these incredible powers in control, much different from Juliette, who never had a grip on them.

Tulloch described her new character in "Grimm" season 5 as "very badass" and "almost robotic." She added that, "It's not so much that she's ruthless, it's that she's very calculated and all she's focused on is getting the job done." Eve is all for completing her mission and nothing more.

While "Grimm" season 5 went about Juliette-less, Tulloch was training to perfect Eve's warrior-like look. She worked out to get in shape for the role. The actress also kept a horde of photos during filming as Eve, all of which she is excited to finally get to share with her fans.

Notably, Eve's emergence will help shed light on who took her after Trubel killed her and what really happened the whole time she was gone. Like fans, Nick is understandably confused too but he won't be for long.

"Grimm" season 5 returns on Jan. 29 with an episode aptly titled "Eve of Destruction."
