Just when fans thought that Bitsie Tulloch's run in "Grimm" is over, the actress returns to the show in the last hour of the "Grimm" season 5 fall finale. TV Line reports that the actress is back as her character's doppelganger.
Tulloch now plays the role of Eve, who, like Nick, is working to end the Black Claw. She is part of the Hadrian's Wall, whose primary goal is to put a stop to the Wesen uprisings. Interestingly, she has all of Juliette's memories but there is no emotional substance in them.
In an interview with TV Line, creators James Kouf and David Greenwalt revealed that they have long planned to bring Tulloch back in the fold although they emphasized for the nth time that Juliette is no more. The individual viewers saw in the last "Grimm" season 5 finale is not the veterinarian.
"[Tulloch is] coming back, but it's not really Juliette anymore. It's this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she's been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing," Greenwalt explained.
"She's basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall to fight Black Claw," he elaborated. Indeed, Eve is a force to be reckoned with as proved in her first emergence. She is working not to be seen by anyone Juliette has worked with because they know that she is dead, and she really is.
Because of this, when "Grimm" season 5 returns, fans will finally learn the whole truth about what followed the events of the season 4 finale, when Trubel appeared to have killed Juliette before both of them disappeared.
Eve will be a greater presence when the season returns. In fact, the episodes that will follow will see Tulloch's new character in action. This makes the actress a regular on the supernatural series.
"Grimm" season 5 returns on Jan. 22 with an episode called "Eve of Destruction," which seems to have a lot to do with Hadrian's Wall's newest and strongest ace.
