"Grimm" season 5 is currently on a two-week break, but when it returns, fans will be treated with an action-packed episode as Nick takes on the Black Claw on his own in search of his family.

Aptly titled "Bad Night," the episode sees Nick springing into action after learning that Adalind and their baby were taken. The promo shows a quick glimpse of the two on stage during Renard's campaign.

Renard seems to be planning to use the two in order to seal his victory in the elections, which is the menacing Bonaparte's idea. It will be done by depicting Renard, Adalind and baby Kelly as a picture-perfect family.

Adalind is left with no other choice but to follow orders. As indicated in the synopsis for "Grimm" season 5, episode 20, she is forced to do this to ensure the safety of her kids.

It also has something to do with Diana, who is becoming more and more of a killing machine by the minute. Black Claw has Diana, which is why Adalind has become a puppet to Black Claw.

In the same "Grimm" clip, Renard attempts to persuade Nick to stop looking for his family.

"Sometimes, the only way to protect the ones you love is to let them go," Renard tells the worried sick detective.

Nick, however, has a far different perspective on the matter. With evident rage in his eyes, Nick tells Renard that letting go isn't the way but "killing the people that threaten them."

The "Grimm" season 5 promo then shows Nick single-handedly taking on Black Claw members, with the voiceover warning that Nick will "stop at nothing" to get his loved ones back. Despite this, Nick has this growing fear that he might lose everything in his fight against the killer organization.

Clearly, it is Bonaparte pulling the strings. He is trying to get Adalind and to join the group. But is Renard really going as far as this just to get the mayoral post?

"Grimm" season 5, episode 20, "Bad Night" airs May 13 on NBC.
