NBC has finally revealed the official premiere date for "Grimm" season 5. The supernatural series is slated to return this fall, and fans will finally get to see how Nick is going to cope with the horrifying experience he went through in the season 4 finale.

At the end of season 4, Nick's mother was killed by his girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tullock). Although he was inconsolable when he found out that the veterinarian — who has turned into a Hexenbiest — was the one responsible for his mother's demise, he found himself grieving for his girlfriend when she was killed by Trubel, just as Juliette was about to kill Nick.

So what can viewers expect from season 5? Last month, "Grimm" executive producers David Greenwalt and James Kouf spoke to TVLine about Juliette's death and to offer some teasers for the upcoming season.

When asked whether Tullock will be around next season, Kouf and Greenwalt confirmed to the website that her character is definitely dead. The executive producers also said that Nick will be grieving the loss of his mother while running on blind fury.

"He's going to have to do both because he's got a lot of stuff to deal with personally, and he's still got a lot of unsolved mysteries," said Greenblatt, adding that Nick's relationship with the police force will "probably have to change a little bit."

Kouf revealed that there won't be any friction between Nick and Trubel because she killed Juliette, saying, "He's gotta know, being a Grimm, that she had no choice if were to survive."

The two executive producers also talked about Nick being the father of Adalind's child. Kouf said that at some point, Nick has got to step up and be a parent to the child.

"He knows he can't abandon his child. He was abandoned," Kouf said.

"Grimm" season 5 premieres on Friday, October 30, at 9 p.m on NBC.
