Details about the plot of "Grimm" season 6 are starting to spill out, and it does not look good for Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) and the mother of his child, Adalind Schade (Claire Coffee).

Speculations claim that the future looks dim for Nick and Adalind after the producers of the show posted the GIF image of a note written by the Hexenbiest during the episode 19 of season 5.

In the note, Adalind revealed that she was made to do something that Nick may not understand. However, she had to do it anyway to protect her children. The GIF also revealed a hidden message in the note, saying that she is doing whatever she had to do in order to protect him.

Towards the end of season 5, viewers of the show know that Adalind had to move in with Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) to be able to reunite with their daughter, Diana (Hannah R. Loyd). But Renard may not be the only one who could prevent Nick and Adalind to be together since Diana appears to be determined to keep her parents together and eliminate any threats who will get in her way.

Meanwhile, other reports claim that NBC is purposely ignoring the fan's petitions to extend the supernatural series to season 7 because they are rumored to be preparing to come out with a spin-off series that will focus on Adalind, Diana, and the Hexenbiests. There are also rumors claiming that the spin-off could center on the lives of Nick's friends Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), Rosalee (Bree Turner), and their upcoming baby.

However, there is no confirmation yet if a spin-off is really in the works.

On the other hand, the fate of Nick also remains a question. Several reports claim that he will die at the end of the series. But the network has yet to clarify the reports.

NBC will release the premiere episode of "Grimm" season 6 on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at 8 p.m. ET.
