Unfortunately for fans, "GT Sport's" release date has been delayed to 2017. However, gamers excited for the prestigious racing game will still have something to look forward to once the title is released. After all, it seems that "GT Sport" is set to become a game for TVs with 4K resolution and, possibly VR headsets.

According to Game N Guide, Polyphony Digital — the developers of "GT Sport" — said that they are using every ounce of their power in order to get the game to work to its fullest potential on the PS4 Pro console.

Meanwhile, game creator Kazunori Yamauchi said in a recently concluded London event that they plan to optimize the game to include both 4K and HDR graphics and performance.

With the HDR10 capability of the console, the colors can be increased up to 64 percent, and if the "GT Sport" game is to have 4K resolution, the game will become compatible with the console's checkboarding technique. With these updates, the game will give avid fans of the franchise the best 4k gameplay experience, and it will get close to the realism most players are craving for.

Yamauchi added that they are more committed to making the game the best "Gran Turismo" title ever. With this, it is expected that the game will run at 60fps when played on standard HDTVs and 30fps when played on 4K TVs.

Also, while the game will feature a VR experience, it will not become a full-on VR game, but the game will be similar to that of the "Star Wars: Battlefront" X-Wing mission.

In other news, according to the University Herald, the upcoming "GT Sport" game will not feature dynamic time or weather, much to the fans' dismay. Thankfully, the time and weather conditions can be customized by players before the race even starts.
