"Gran Turismo Sport" is getting its first-ever major update following its release last month.

Sony announced in a blog post recently that the patch 1.06 will hit the game on Nov. 27. It will add three new cars -- Audi's final R18, the ISO Rivolta Zagato VGT, and the Shelby Cobra 427 -- and lay off some of the online requirements. Players will also be able to utilize the Livery Editor, Scapes (photo) mode, and play the "Campaign" offline, although internet access is still required to save one's progress.

The real treats arrive in December, with Polyphony Digital rolling out a brand-new single-player mode called GT League. Hyped as a successor to the classic Gran Turismo Mode found in earlier games, this mode allows gamers to race in cup competitions and endurance races across multiple skill levels. It is slated to be expanded in 2018, with more races across its four leagues.

The December update will also bring in 12 new vehicles, including the Ferrari F40, Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, Lamborghini Countach LP400, KTM X-BOW R, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Suzuki Swift Sport, and Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A. The Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD), Volkswagen Sambabus Typ 2 (T1), Nissan Skyline GT-R V spec II (R32), and Nissan Skyline GT-R V spec II Nür (R34) will be featured in the game as well.

Sony teases around 50 new cars will be added between now and March next year, alongside new tracks. It has yet to announce a specific release date, but it seems all of this content will be coming for free so players will not have any reason to not check it out.

"Gran Turismo Sport" is currently available exclusively for PlayStation 4. A PlayStation VR bundle is also on the menu.
