New details about developer Rockstar's DLC plans for "GTA 5" have been unearthed right from the game data. The info mined revealed that a story mode for the hit open world, action-adventure video game may be in the works inside the game studio's test beds.

Dataminers managed to have access to a new version of the game's management system, which shows that some expansion packs can be toggled on and off. When they try to play around with this system, an error screen pops up: "Installed Story Mode DLC cannot be loaded."

In line with this, gamers also found out that several single player DLCs might be made available to "GTA 5" players soon. However, unlike the multiplayer expansion packs Rockstar releases, these single player add-ons will have to actually be purchased by players.

This was confirmed when dataminers were denied access and was requested by the game to buy the DLCs before they could launch them. Whether or not the data has truth in it, gamers may finally be treated with some single-player "GTA 5" action.

Of course, with no confirmation from Rockstar, it is best to take all that with a grain of salt. In fact, the release of not one but several new DLCs for "GTA 5" comes as strange to some, especially since the game studio has already expressed its desire to focus on the "GTA Online" expansion.

"The evolution of GTA Online on these newer platforms is also an exciting prospect as the power of those systems is going to allow us to achieve even more," Director of Design at Rockstar North Imran Sarwar told IGN.

"GTA Online's success means we are going to be able to work on a lot more in the future too as we've learned a ton and have come up with even more ideas for future games," he added.

At the moment, it is unknown whether or not Rockstar will put out the story mode and single player DLCs for "GTA 5."
