'GTA 5 Online': New Lowriders update allows car makeovers

 Rockstar Games

Rockstar is dropping a slew of Lowriders on "GTA 5 Online" today. The arrival of the update was long predicted but it was only in the past days that it was made clear what the free DLC really has in store for the residents of Los Santos and Blaine County.

The game studio released a trailer previewing the grand re-opening of Benny's Original Motor Works, everybody's go-to on everything vehicles, from vans to sedans. It was made to look like a commercial for the custom shop.

In the promo, the custom shop in downtown Strawberry remains the source of everything that a car would need to pull off a scene-stealing look – larger-than-life custom paint and interiors, killer steering wheel covers, wicked sound systems and rims so shiny they make a statement.

The shop has something for the hydraulics, engine and just about everything one would want and need for their ride. With Benny's Original Motor Works "back in business," gamers can also check out half a dozen of muscle cars ready to be tailored into a more handsome ride fit for their ever too plush taste.

More than the cool wheels, the Lowriders update also brings along a slew of new weapons for Los Santos and Blaine County crime lords to play with as well as brand new Adversary modes and Lamar missions to try out. Thanks to the DLC, players can now purchase a fourth property, something gamers always wished they could do in "GTA 5 Online."

Sadly, not every "GTA 5 Online" gamer will get to enjoy all the macho bric-a-brac offered in this glorious Lowriders update. Unfortunately for last-gen players, the DLC will only be available to Xbox One, PS4 and PC players.

There's no word from Rockstar about what it has in store for players of the Xbox 360 and PS3 but for now, the game studio has its eye on the new-gen gamers.
