The much-awaited PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V" will be released soon as Rockstar announced that the game is currently in its "final stages" of development. 

The game developer revealed the status of the PC version of "GTA 5" at the Q&A of Rockstar Newswire. 

"We're presently in the final stages of development on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V and hope to have confirmed official system requirements to share soon here at the Newswire, please stay tuned for that to be announced in the coming week. Thank you and we're very excited to bring GTA V to the PC gaming community!" Rockstar said. 

It also clarified that players can transfer their characters from other platforms to PC. It was initially reported that gamers can transfer their characters once. Thus, if a gamer migrates a character from PS3 to PS4, they can no longer do that to a PC. 

The PC version was delayed and will reportedly be released on Jan. 27, 2015 due to "a range of major visual and technical upgrades." Apparently, developers needed time for further improvement and development of the game to ensure that it will work smoothly in all platforms. 

Meanwhile, the PC version will pack new features such as support for 4K screen displays as well as video editor mode. Developers realized that some PC monitors mostly boast 4K screen resolution, while the consoles are still in Full HD stage. 4K video support delivers vivid images and graphics. The video editor mode, on the other hand, allows gamers to make their own action movie with the scenes in the game.  

The new version of "GTA 5" will come with new contents, and the city of Los Santos will include new activities and events for the players. Imponte Duke – Death Car and the Dodo sea plane can be obtained by players from the events. Gamers will be notified about the events to take place in Blaine County. Moreover, players can expect new weapons and vehicles in the new version of "GTA 5" such as the high velocity rail rifle and hatchet melee as well as a monster truck.
