Although developer Rockstar Games continues to update "GTA Online" with weekly events, some fans are wondering when the next major expansion will drop. Reportedly, fans will not have to wait long as the rumored "Cunning Stunts" DLC will roll out this month.

According to Express UK, a follow-up to the most recent DLC, "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony," is on the way. Dubbed "Cunning Stunts," the new expansion update will reportedly arrive later this month. However, it is still unclear if the "Cunning Stunts" DLC will be a stand-alone major update for "GTA Online" or if it is still a part of the current DLC. There are rumors that "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony" could be just the first of a two-part major update, much like how Rockstar Games launched the "Ill-gotten Gains" expansion. The previous DLC was launched in two parts. The current DLC is internally codenamed "Exec1" by Rockstar Games.

Meanwhile, IBTimes reports that instead of a continuation, the upcoming "Cunning Stunts" DLC may be a new major update for "GTA Online." Instead of criminal organization activities and in-game bonuses, the upcoming update reportedly focuses on vehicles and car modifications. The supposed leaks for this new update allegedly date back to 2014 and are files for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Since the updates have not been seen in "GTA Online" to date, it seems that Rockstar Games is ready to roll out the update soon.

The rumored major update is for the online feature for the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. However, there are speculations that Rockstar Games may be thinking of releasing a new DLC pack for the single-player campaign of "GTA V," although the studio has yet to confirm this.

Meanwhile, as part of the weekly updates, Rockstar Games has already brought back the "Independence Day Special" bonuses for "GTA Online" players. Currently live until July 11, players can get patriotism-inspired items at discounted prices, such as timed exclusives on weapons, clothing, gear and vehicles.
