'GTA Online' DLC: 'Festive Surprise' continues until Jan. 5

Before the holidays, Rockstar Games released a surprise treat for fans. Fresh from its "Executive and Other Criminals" DLC, the online multiplayer feature for "Grand Theft Auto V" got another expansion pack, this time a holiday-themed "Festive Surprise" DLC.

However, since the expansion contained seasonal content, the DLC is time-limited. However, the good news is that the "Festive Surprise" DLC will be available for players until after New Year.

According to an announcement on the Rockstar Newswire, Rockstar Games will allow "GTA Online" players access to the "Festive Surprise" DLC until Jan 5. The end date will be for all the current-gen platform versions of "GTA Online" (PS4, Xbox One, PC).

"Festive Surprise" adds new in-game items with a holiday theme which players can use, including Santa outfits and snug pajamas for players. There are also masks that feature Festive Luchador, Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Gingerbread Man, and more.

Aside from player accessories, the holiday-themed content also features three additional Christmas-themed car horns for player vehicles, as well as property accessories that reflect the holiday spirit. Players can decorate their apartments, mansions, and stilt houses, including the new Super Yacht, with holiday decorations such as Christmas trees.

The announcement says that aside from the new holiday-themed additions, other season in-game items that were introduced in previous holiday-themed expansions packs are also currently available. This means that for this holiday season, players will also have access to holiday items that were introduced in last year's "Festive Surprise" DLC, as well as the prior year's "2013 Holiday Gifts" expansion.

In the duration of this year's "Festive Surprise" DLC, players who log on to "GTA Online" can also play some exclusive holiday-themed missions in Adversary mode, and also play other mini-game holiday exclusives like snowball fights in Los Santos.
