'GTA Online' news: New game glitch discovered by players

While Rockstar Games continues to update its current installment for the "Grand theft Auto", particularly the online multiplayer feature "GTA V," players still keep on discovering numerous bugs and exploits in "GTA Online."

According to MobiPicker, a new glitch enables players to cross previously forbidden areas and even enter closed buildings in "GTA Online". The glitch was discovered by "GTA" fanatic MrBossFTW, and the noted tipster chronicled his discovery on his YouTube account.

Reportedly, the glitch was discovered by accident and takes time to complete. MrBossFTW said, "Pull up your phone and call in for a Deathmatch or Last Man Standing mission. The first sign that the glitch works is if the game breaks if it fails to send you to the job that you want. Next, the H.U.D. and indicators on the screen will also disappear."

The tipster added that he discovered the glitch on an Xbox One and is unsure if the bug can be recreated for the other versions of the multiplayer feature.

Master Herald noted that an added bonus will be for players to freely explore Los Santos and its counties in "GTA Online" in free roam mode, much like how players can do it in the single-player campaign missions in "GTA V."

However, while the glitch makes players deviate from the supposed tracks in missions and freely roam locations, it also takes some features off the game. Since the HUD and weapons wheel disappear, players who attempt the glitch will not be able to access their inventory of weapons or check their location in the map. The glitch also shuts down the phone function for the players.

While in free roam mode though, players can enter and check out previously closed properties such as the Blaine County Sheriff Department, Fleeca banks, and the Tequi-La-La Bar. However, some of the locations remain shut off for players, like the vaults in the buildings.
