"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" might be graced by Steve Evans's Captain America, whose counterpart in the comics is controversial at the moment.

During an interview with MTV, the actor expressed his interest to star in the sequel, but he's afraid that the nature of his character might not allow that.

"Guardians would be fun, wouldn't it? But it's very outer spacey. Cap's more of an Earth-bound guy," Evans said, resorting to a more logical option— "Spider-Man: Homecoming," where Robert Downey Jr. will appear as Iron Man.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is now in production. While a possible cameo could somehow be doable, Evans knows that it will not be as organic as one would hope.

However, Captain America will definitely work side by side with the Guardians (or at least some of them) in the upcoming films "Avengers: Infinity War," which is all about the heroes' fight against Thanos.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will unlikely bring Captain America to the territory of Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and the crew, but they should be part of the action when the gauntlets are involved.

Meanwhile, some fans may have been wondering if Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) will soon return to his original huge form as seen in the first film when "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" hits the big screen.

After the events in the first film, Groot practically died but was able to live as some of his roots allowed him to regrow. The ending of the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" film saw him in a dancing plantlet form on a pot.

According to Comicbook.com, if Groot stays that way in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," the crew will eventually lose its primary brawn. It will all come down to the time it will take for him to grow to his usual size. How that will happen in the film remains to be seen.
