The relationship of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani is stronger than ever, even amid rumors of separation and their relationship being on the rocks.

To further prove that their love for each other has been nothing but intense, a source claimed on Entertainment Tonight that the couple wanted to have their own bundle of joy. "[In the] first season or two, I couldn't help it. I would just lose my mind when I would see someone picking on a kid, you know," Shelton said, hinting that the show had somehow let him practice his paternal instincts.

The source said that Shelton and Stefani both wanted a child of their own, as the former had been appreciating the feeling of being a father to the latter's kids. "More important to them right now is having a baby together," the insider added.

Earlier this month the country singer had also shared that he took Stefani and the kids to Oklahoma for the opening of his restaurant Ole Red. Shelton gladly explained that he had been spending some quality time with Stefani's children. Prior to the grand opening of Ole Red, a mini-concert was held. Shelton had the audience, including the 48-year-old beauty and her children, in for a treat as he narrated how the relationship started.

Rumors started spreading that the two were on the brink of splitting up when news broke out that Stefani would not be joining her hubby in coaching talented singers in the 14th season of the "The Voice."

Shelton got divorced with "We Should Be Friends" singer Miranda Lambert in 2015. Meanwhile, Stefani's ex-husband was Gavin Rossdale, whom she had three kids with, Zuma, Apollo, and Kingston. Shelton and Stefani got together on the television competition show, "The Voice."
