Gwyneth Paltrow has denied any rumors of an affair with billionaire Jeff Soffer in a statement released by her spokesperson. "It's completely false. Jeff is a longtime friend of Gwyneth's and there is no romantic relationship with him at all."

The 41-year-old, who has been married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for over ten years, released the statement even before the story hit newsstands.

An article about an alleged relationship between Paltrow and Soffer in 2008 when the billionaire threw a party with Paltrow as the guest of honor may soon be published in a Vanity Fair article. Acccording to Page Six, Soffer and Paltrow seemed close at the party and were "closed off in a private section." The actress' spokesman said, "He flew many of his friends to Miami that weekend — not just Gwyneth."

As reporters continue to probe for more information, there are reports that the mother-of-two already emailed all of her friends saying, "If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline."

Paltrow had reportedly asked Vanity Fair to refrain from publishing the article. Editor Graydon Carter told the Times of London: "We started a story on her. We have a very good writer on it and it'll run... She sort of forced my hand."

Paltrow and Martin married in 2003 and the two have two children together – Apple and Moses.

Two years ago, the actress said in an interview with the Daily Telegraph: "Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extramarital affairs. It's like we're flawed — we're human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge. That's their problem but I really think that the more I live my life the more I learn not to judge people for what they do.

Miami billionaire Jeff Soffer married Top Model host Elle Macpherson this summer in an intimate ceremony.

It is not known when the alleged 'explosive' article will be published by Vanity Fair.
