'Halo 5: Guardians' March update news: 'Ghosts of Meridian' update delayed until early April

"Halo 5: Guardians" fans need to hold their horses for a little more time. The promised monthly update will have a little delay for the month of March as the "Ghosts of Meridian" update will not be ready until the early part of April.

343 Industries, the game developer, earlier announced to the "Halo" community that the "Ghosts of Meridian" update will not be able to make it this month and will miss the scheduled date by a few days. The studio normally rolls out updates by the end of the month.

The blog post stated, "We'll be revealing details and what's inside over the next few weeks, and wanted to also let you know that the production team currently has this content slated to drop in early April. Typically, we've released our new content in the middle or end of each month, and this one misses that by just a few days, but the terrifying psychological effect of missing that exact monthly cadence cannot be denied! So to hold you over, we'll be providing you with the standard sneak peeks, developer commentary, and perhaps even some surprises as we get closer to release."

Andy "Bravo" Dudynsky, 343 Industries community manager, also updated the "Halo" community on what's keeping them busy aside from creating monthly content. Players have been demanding a PvE Warzone mode so the "Warzone FireFight" was created. Dudynsky also shared that there is currently more than 2,000 color combinations to choose from when personalizing armors in the game.

The company then posted on Twitter an image of the Warzone Map called the Mantis, just to show the community what to expect in the near future. No other details were shared regarding the PvE map.

Furthermore, instead of a weekend schedule, the Fiesta mode will now be offered all week long. All are expected to have a fun and exciting game with its random choosing of primary and secondary weapons for its participants.

Monthly updates for "Halo 5: Guardians" bring in new multiplayer modes, new maps, weapons, vehicles and REQs. With this in mind, 343 Industries is hoping that the "Halo" community will always be active and continue to happily enjoy the game.

After "Ghosts of Meridian," "Memories of Reach" and "Hog Wild" will follow.

"Halo 5: Guardians" is an Xbox One exclusive and was released last October.
