343 Industries has just given fans a sneak peek into some of the new items they can look forward to in "Halo 5's" January update.

There looks to be quite a few new items that are going to be included in the January update, and among them will be new gun skins, Game Rant reported.

The gun skins were shown in a recent "Halo 5" livestream and one of them features none other than the bald eagle, while the other features a wolf howling at the moon.

Aside from the new gun skins, players may also be getting new pieces of armor inside the January update coming to "Halo 5." Images of the new armor certainly point to some aesthetic changes, though it's unclear if that's all they offer.

That's about it in terms of what 343 Industries has revealed about the game's January downloadable content (DLC), although the developer did also provide more details about the update that is due to arrive this month.

This month's DLC, known as The Cartographer's Gift, will feature a variety of new additions as well, Gamespot reported.

Among the most notable additions is the new Warzone map that players will be able to try out. There will also be three new Arena environments added to "Halo 5" coming courtesy of the December DLC pack.

Players can also look forward to more tweaks and changes being made to Forge Mode. All of the items included in the game's December DLC will be available for free.

One more addition that should interest players concerns even more advanced controller settings being introduced into "Halo 5's" gameplay, Cinema Blend reported.

The additional settings are expected to help players better adjust the game's configurations to what they want them to be, thus allowing them to perform better on the battlefield.

More details about the new content coming to "Halo 5" are expected to be revealed soon.
