Those who are expecting to hear some news about "Halo 6" during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 might be in for a major disappointment.

According to reports, the game developer might slip a little teaser for the next installment in the "Halo" franchise even if the game itself will not be present at the event. But according to a post by 343 Industries community manager Brian Jarrard on Reddit, fans of military-themed first-person shooter game will not be able to learn anything about the rumored sequel of the 2015-released "Halo 5: Guardians."

However, Jarrard also mentions the game developer is also preparing to launch something else during Microsoft's scheduled press conference at E3 2017 on June 11, Sunday.

Still, the game developer's community manager reveals that they have something to announce in the upcoming video game trade show. "I'll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We've said this already but we'll have a little something at E3 but it's not related to the next major entry in the franchise," Jarrard states in the post.

Some speculations claim that 343 Industries might be launching an anniversary edition of the 2007-released "Halo 3," even if the game was already included in the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" that came out in the market in 2014.

Other rumors also mention that the announcement may have something to do with the third-person "Halo" game that is said to be designed for kids. Reports reveal it has received favorable response from the "Halo" community, especially in its platforming and gunplay factors. But the game did not push through during that time.

Meanwhile, details about the "Halo 6" remain scarce at this point, but the game is expected to be out in the market in the coming days.
